How many days do I need to see Vienna?
Depending on the length of your trip, and taking geographic proximity into account, these are following my recommended priorities: 3 days: Vienna. 5 days: Salzburg. 7 days, add: Hallstatt.Best 1 Week Itinerary for Austria:

Some visitors will want to spend their entire 7-10 days relaxing deep in the Alps, while others want to focus on some of Europes best museums, but we like to do a mix of both by using Vienna and Salzburg as base camps to explore the country.Vienna overflows with culture and coffee whilst Salzburg is filled with the sound of music and Mozart. Beautiful buildings, palaces and parks adorn both cities and the food scene is truly scrumptious. Both cities should be high on your list for a visit.

Is 2 full days enough in Vienna : The Austrian capital's compact layout puts most major sights within walking distance, making it easy to tick off the palaces, museums and opera houses in two days and still stop to taste the famous Sachertorte and Wiener Schnitzel.

Is 3 days in Vienna too much

You should spend at least 3 days in Vienna to be able to see most of the highlights on a Vienna itinerary without feeling rushed. I did have to skip several things that I would have loved to do, so if you can spend an extra day or two, then I would recommend it!

Is Vienna better than Budapest : Budapest is known for its pre-war architecture, thermal springs and vibrant nightlife. Vienna, on the other hand, is known for its cultural institutes, coffee houses and diverse food scene.

And while it's never explicitly called a 15- or 20-minute city, it nevertheless responds to the social, technological and ecological challenges that we all face.

Is Vienna a walkable city

Many of the historical sights in Vienna live in the compact, largely flat, and eminently walkable city centre.Vienna is known for its culture, coffee and cuisine, whilst Prague is famous for its history, heritage and hoppy Czech beer. The centre of Prague feels like an outdoor museum, but the centre of Vienna is filled with world-class museums.Compared to other European capitals like Madrid and Rome, Vienna is more expensive.

Vienna with its exquisite architecture and horse-drawn carriages that clippety-clop along the streets feels very elegant and grand. Both cities are utterly charming with a wealth of things to see and do. We highly recommended visiting both!

Is Austria cheap or expensive : Austria is not a cheap place to live in. The cost of living in Austria is higher than the global average, with expenses like housing and utilities contributing to this higher cost.

Where to avoid staying in Vienna : Most of Ottakring is safe. But areas around the Ottakring U-Bahn station and Gürtel Street are sketchy. Especially at night, you might encounter drunk people or people fighting. Avoid unlit streets, and take public transportation or taxis instead of walking alone during late hours.

Is public transport free in Vienna

Vienna works on an honesty system with no ticket barriers at stations and no formal, permanent ticket checks on the subway, local trains, trams and buses. You just jump on and off. This doesn't mean public transport is free, though. You do need to buy a ticket.

It's not surprising at all! Prague has been officially named the most beautiful city in the world by the international magazine Time out.Budapest is known for its pre-war architecture, thermal springs and vibrant nightlife. Vienna, on the other hand, is known for its cultural institutes, coffee houses and diverse food scene.

Is Prague prettier than Vienna : I think Prague, Czech Republic is a more interesting, more beautiful city. They're both very cool places, though.
